Special Conditions and Implementation Challenges

The project implementation area had specific and complex geotechnical conditions that made the implementation of the work one of the most difficult power transmission projects. The implementation team encountered numerous obstacles along the way, including:

Sands and quicksand

Swamps and loose soil

Rough hills

Severe access and transportation restrictions

In some areas, traffic and operations were not possible, and the implementation team was forced to build access roads. Also, installing the masts in each section required specific and unique implementation methods due to the different ground conditions.

On the other hand, the conditions were so difficult that at times it seemed impossible to carry out the work. Even heavy machinery was unable to work in these soils and often got stuck in the loose and boggy ground, making it very difficult to move and continue the operation.
